My Story
Integrative Psychiatric Approach
As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) at Dual Minds Integrative Psychiatry, I am dedicated to supporting individuals in building meaningful, balanced, and fulfilling lives. My clinical approach integrates evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care to help clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while developing practical skills for lasting change.
I specialize in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, trauma-related concerns, grief and loss, and life transitions. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel empowered to explore their experiences, process difficult emotions, and develop healthier coping strategies.
Philosophy of Care
My work is grounded in the belief that healing occurs through collaboration, compassion, and increased self-awareness. I incorporate a holistic focus on overall wellness, recognizing the important connection between mental, emotional, and physical health. Together, we work to build resilience, strengthen emotional regulation, and foster personal growth so clients can move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and well-being. My goal is to meet you where you are at, allow you a space to feel heard, and remain alongside you in your journey to personal healing.
Education
I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Framingham State University, a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a concentration in Mental Health from Southern New Hampshire University, and an Associate’s degree in Business from Eastern Nazarene College. Prior to entering the mental health field, I spent 25 years working in the financial industry before transitioning to pursue my true passion - supporting individuals in their mental health and wellness journeys.
Professional Experience
Following completion of my graduate degree, I accumulated over 3,000 post-master’s clinical hours working in both substance use and mental health recovery settings. I spent more than three years working within a partial hospitalization program while also providing per-diem outpatient therapy services. I later transitioned to full-time outpatient therapy within a large healthcare organization, gaining experience supporting diverse populations across a range of clinical needs. I became fully licensed in early 2025 and have continued to serve clients in both community-based and private practice settings.
Personal Inspiration
The loss of loved ones and my experiences as a single parent have deeply shaped my personal and professional path. These moments have given me a profound appreciation for the resilience of the human spirit and the complexity of the human experience. Through both personal challenges and professional work, I have witnessed the ways in which grief, adversity, and life transitions can shape our emotional lives.
These experiences have strengthened my commitment to helping others navigate their own struggles with compassion, humility, and respect. They have also provided a meaningful foundation for connecting with clients and colleagues in a genuine way. I believe that through understanding, support, and evidence-based care, individuals can move toward healing, growth, and a greater sense of well-being while reducing the suffering that can accompany difficult life experiences.
Current Practice
In my current practice, I integrate these values into the therapeutic space by fostering a collaborative, authentic, and supportive environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. My approach emphasizes helping individuals build insight, develop practical coping strategies, and reconnect with their strengths while navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, and life transitions. I strive to meet clients where they are, recognizing that each person’s journey is unique and that meaningful change occurs through patience, trust, and a strong therapeutic alliance.
Ultimately, my goal is to help individuals move beyond survival and toward a life that feels more balanced, purposeful, and aligned with their values.
